Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

GRATITUDE IS FREE, but its impact is priceless
You may have heard that feelings of gratitude have many positive effects on all aspects of life. Some studies suggest that your life will improve overall when you are grateful because you improve your relationship with others and the world in general.
COVID — Now’s All the More Reason to be GRATEFUL
I have personally found, especially during COVID, that feelings of gratitude have had a positive impact on my mental state. I am grateful for the memories created during times when COVID was not a part of our life. Now more than ever, I am grateful for all of the little things, like spending quality time with the people I love, away from the distractions that seemed to consume life before COVID. Things like the food we have and the friends who are there to help and support in times of need; are the things that warrant gratefulness. Life is full of things to be grateful for… when you look for them.
For the most part, I have been able to look at the glass half full rather than half empty. Was I born with the ability to see the world that way? Or did my parents teach me that by example? I am not sure. I have lived that way always and in turn, my children have done a great job living that way too.
There are more ways to benefit from gratefulness. More than just feeling grateful, when you share your feelings of gratefulness with others, it impacts them in a positive way too. Paying it forward in away. Something as simple as sending a card with heartfelt sentiments, just out of the blue, can warm the heart of someone you love.
Making someone smile, feel loved or appreciated, or maybe even making a grownup cry, is what your expressions of gratefulness for others can do. So don’t stop at feeling grateful — show your gratefulness to others.
Let’s all do our little part in making the world a more beautiful place!
