Sometimes it takes losing someone to make you press the brake, take a breath and look at things differently, to do the things you have been meaning to do for quite some time.
Sometimes all it takes is a little inspiration for you to take the time and open your heart to appreciate the people in your life… before it is too late.
I have experienced both. So, 2018 I decided to switch gears and follow a long burning passion ~ to provide people with the inspiration and the means to capture precious life stories and sentiments of apprecitation. I used my passion, my experience and my expertise to create something that is both simple and beautiful ~ because no one should miss the opportunity to invest in themselves, pay tribute to a loved one or to create a gift for generations to come.
In 2003, Heather decided to trade in her career in branding and advertising to found her own company called A Little Inspiration. She started by offering workshops, teaching others how to make home decor items mostly, to anyone willing to learn.
That was a springboard to what was her successful second career, where she combined her creative talents, project management skills, and her ability to vision and inspire. Working primarily as an interior designer for well over a decade, she has been equally as successful offering her other talents as an artist, graphic designer, event planner, regular TV guest on York Region’s Daytime live, branding expert, director of a summer art camp for girls and a fundraiser/event planner. Her success in all of the above came from simple word of mouth.
I am so fortunate to be able to live my passion, and that is to inspire creativity and to connect people by celebrating their uniqueness and sharing their stories creatively.
Driven by a passion to help people capture their life stories and present them beautifully, she is happy to share the magic of these books with individuals, groups and industry partners. Years of working and talking openly with people, sharing insights and understanding people’s motivations, and her ability to make even the most overwhelming of tasks, feel simple and manageable are skills that come together in the creation of a LIFEBOOK.
